Fast Technology reported that the Honor 600 series will be released on May 25th at 19:00. Today, Honor’s Fang Fei announced that the new phone is equipped with an 8600mAh new generation Qinghai Lake battery, and the Pro version has an energy density of 932Wh/L, setting a new record in the candybar phone industry.

She emphasized that in the past, many products in the industry that achieved a capacity of 7000mAh or more often meant being heavier and thicker, and even had to sacrifice imaging, charging, or ergonomics.

What Honor 600 series aims to do is something even more difficult: while improving the aesthetics of the exterior design and enhancing imaging capabilities, it also wants to achieve a large battery capacity of over 8000mAh.

This poses a significant challenge to the overall spatial architecture stacking innovation capability. Every inch of space inside a mobile phone is precious, especially after the Honor 600 series itself has already packed in a complete imaging system such as a 200-megapixel large-sensor main camera and a periscope telephoto lens. Every millimeter of space needs to be re-planned and utilized to the fullest extent.

This achievement of high power consumption in a small space relies on the stacking of extreme architectures across three dimensions:

– Vertical dimension: A more precise speaker was redesigned and launched for the first time, and it was systematically stacked with many components such as camera module and SoC. Combined with measures such as miniaturization of motherboard components, a high-density motherboard design was achieved. At the same time, the length of the sub-board was also minimized, freeing up more vertical space for the battery.

– Horizontal dimension: Innovative button assembly scheme, optimized RF signal line layout, and extreme narrowing of the middle frame on both sides of the battery, allowing the battery to have more horizontal space.

– Three-dimensional dimension: Innovative spatial three-dimensional architecture stacking solution, and adopting screen modules that combine high reliability and ultra-thinness, further improves the space utilization of the overall thickness.

Meanwhile, Honor has also added a self-developed energy efficiency enhancement chip, E2, to the battery protection board, which can ensure the safety and efficiency of high-energy-density cells in extreme environments.
