According to Huawei’s previous introduction, the Kirin 2026, which adopts the Tao Law, has achieved a significant increase in transistor density of 53.5%, reaching a new industry high of 238 million transistors per square millimeter. This means that 238 million transistors can be integrated on a chip area of one square millimeter, which is theoretically on par with Intel’s 18A process and close to the first generation of TSMC’s 3nm process.
At the same time, the chip’s P-core energy efficiency has been improved by 41%, and the maximum frequency has also been increased by 12.7%, achieving a double leap in performance and energy efficiency.
In addition, HarmonyOS 7’s Ark Engine is equipped with a high-performance model for the first time, improving performance by 15%. Combined with the new Kirin chip, this will greatly enhance the performance of the Mate XT2.
In addition to performance upgrades, the Huawei Mate XT2 also adopts a brand-new U-shaped folding design, which is somewhat similar to Samsung’s G-shaped design, except that the folding order is reversed.
