The Red Magic 12 Pro+ GOLDEN SAGA becomes the only 24GB flagship in the second half of the year:
Fast Technology reported that at the Red Magic 12 Pro+ new product launch event, Red Magic also teased a special edition, the Red Magic 12 Pro+ GOLDEN SAGA Limited Edition. This model has a more collectible appeal in terms of design and configuration, attracting the attention of many high-end gamers.
This version features a brand-new forged carbon cooling technology and boasts 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. It will be available later, with pricing yet to be announced. For users seeking top-of-the-line specifications and collectible value, this model is clearly more appealing.
As we all know, memory chip prices have been rising recently. The main reason is that AI data centers are taking up a lot of storage capacity, which has led to a tightening of supply for mobile devices and a significant increase in procurement costs.
The once-popular 24GB RAM configuration is now almost extinct, becoming the most obvious industry change in this round of price increases. Even though the new generation of flagship chips supports 24GB RAM at the hardware level, mainstream mobile phone brands have all cut this version, with flagship top-of-the-line configurations generally falling back to 16GB.
For users, 16GB of RAM is generally sufficient for daily use, gaming, and on-device AI needs, but heavy multitasking gamers lose the option of top-of-the-line hardware.
Fortunately, the Red Magic 12 Pro+ GOLDEN SAGA offers a 24GB memory option, making it the only phone with 24GB memory available in the second half of this year. Considering that the Red Magic 12 Pro+ 16GB+1TB version is priced at 8999 yuan, the GOLDEN SAGA version is expected to exceed 10,000 yuan.
In terms of hardware configuration, the Red Magic 12 Pro+ GOLDEN SAGA features a 6.85-inch 1.5K true full-screen display, a 16-megapixel under-display front camera, and is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Super Extreme Edition chip, delivering top-notch performance across the board.
