The vivo X500 Pro series debuts with 4K 240fps high-gloss slow motion.
According to Fast Technology on September 1st, the vivo X500 series will be released in September, bringing three models: X500, X500 Pro, and X500 Pro Max. The new phones are currently in the pre-launch phase.
Today, vivo product manager Han Boxiao reiterated that the vivo X500 series’ imaging pursuit is “photography first, video only”.
He stated that, based on the Zeiss Super Dynamic main camera, the X500 Pro series will be the first to support the industry’s highest-specification 4K 240fps high-light slow-motion video recording.
Compared to the common 4K 30fps video specification, 4K 240fps can record 8 times more frames in the early stages, leaving more information for slow motion in the later stages, making it especially suitable for recording instantaneous actions in scenarios such as travel and sports.
With the support of a cinematic main camera lens, the X500 Pro series can also balance high image quality, high resolution and high frame rate, so that slow-motion videos can maintain higher clarity and detail.
Furthermore, based on its 4K 240fps shooting capability, vivo will also be the first in the industry to launch creative slow-motion gameplay at 4K 480fps and 4K 960fps.
Through self-developed 4K frame interpolation algorithm and video curve speed mapping algorithm, while maintaining 4K specifications, it can achieve up to 16x and 32x smooth slow motion, which can be used to capture high-speed moments such as liquid splashing and bubble bursting, further enhancing the visual impact of the picture.
In terms of imaging hardware, the vivo X500 Pro series will be the world’s first to feature a blueprint and a Sony-exclusive Zeiss super dynamic main camera, which can output the industry’s highest dynamic range of 17EV, preserving more details in both bright and dark areas in complex scenes with high contrast and high light ratio.
As for performance, the vivo X500 will be equipped with the Dimensity 9600, while the X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max will be equipped with the Dimensity 9600 Pro.
It is understood that the Dimensity 9600 series is built on TSMC’s 2nm N2P process. The CPU adopts a brand-new 2+3+3 architecture, consisting of two super cores and six performance cores. This is also the first time that MediaTek’s Dimensity 9 series has introduced a dual super core design.
