The Xiaomi 18 Fold is now compatible with the same “Legendary Moment” feature as the Xiaomi 18 Pro.

Fast Technology reported that a product manager from Xiaomi’s camera department revealed the progress of image function upgrades for two models. The Xiaomi 18 Fold foldable phone is currently being adapted to the “Legendary Moment” function, which is the same as that of the Xiaomi 18 Pro series.

“Legendary Moment” is the core imaging feature of the Xiaomi 18 Pro series. It is built on an end-to-end image model trained on millions of professional camera images, and the image quality is comparable to that of a professional camera. Since its launch, it has received a lot of praise from users.

This feature supports camera-level depth-of-field blurring, using a large model algorithm to restore the true sense of optical layering, achieving a natural blurring effect that is closest to the laws of optics.

It also supports lossless processing of original image data uploaded to the cloud from the album, and achieves automatic optimization in all scenarios by relying on massive amounts of real data for training, producing high-quality image works without the need for professional post-production.

In addition, the “Leica Moment” feature of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition will also receive new camera effect adaptations, adding body effects adapted to the Leica M10R camera, as well as camera-level optical bokeh effects for the two classic lenses, Summicron 35mm and Summilux 75mm, further restoring the image quality of Leica cameras.

Prior to this, “Leica Moment” already offered two filters for LEICA M3 and LEICA M9. The former restores the legendary CCD texture with rich and deep colors, while the latter presents the image quality of the M3 paired with MONOPAN 50 film, possessing a pure black and white film texture.
