Fast Technology reported that Xiaomi officially announced the release of the Xiaomi 17 Max this month, and also revealed the new phone’s appearance.

In terms of design, the phone looks more like the Xiaomi 15 series. The camera Deco features a unibody volcano-like design with a very smooth transition, and it may also have inherited the ceramic material.

Featuring a four-curved wraparound mid-frame, the arc extending backward from the mid-frame smoothly connects to the back panel, and the Xiaomi 15 series previously received numerous positive reviews for its feel.

The front features a large 6.9-inch flat screen, marking Xiaomi’s return to the ultra-large screen market after many years.

Thanks to its screenless design and large body size, the phone will be equipped with a battery of over 8000mAh, the largest capacity battery among Xiaomi brand phones.

In terms of charging, the Xiaomi 17 Max is expected to maintain 100W wired fast charging + 50W wireless fast charging, and be compatible with the 100W PPS protocol.

According to leaks, the camera system of this phone will undergo some changes. The main camera will use a Samsung ISOCELL HP series 200-megapixel sensor, a 50-megapixel 3x periscope telephoto lens + a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and will support Leica imaging.

Equipped with the fifth-generation Snapdragon 8 Ultra, along with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, it boasts top-tier specifications.

In terms of price, the Xiaomi 17 Max is expected to be slightly more expensive than the standard Xiaomi 17, possibly matching the price of the Xiaomi 17 Pro, starting at 4999 yuan.
