Xiaomi 18 Fold to Launch in September, Featuring Self-Developed O3 Microring Technology
Fast Technology reported that the Xiaomi 18 Fold foldable flagship officially opened for pre-orders today, with the new phone scheduled for release in September.
According to digital blogger “Digital Chat Station”, the Xiaomi 18 Fold is the first foldable phone from Xiaomi that has been repeatedly leaked before. The internal schedule has always been September, at which time it will directly compete with Apple’s first foldable phone.
It is understood that the Xiaomi foldable phone unexpectedly appeared in Xiaomi’s previous article, “Understanding Xiaomi Surge OS 4 in One Go”.

In terms of system, the Xiaomi 18 Fold will come pre-installed with Xiaomi Surge OS 4, and will be specially optimized for the foldable form factor, including desktop layout, application adaptation and other experience upgrades.
In terms of performance, the Xiaomi 18 Fold will be the first to be equipped with Xiaomi’s self-developed Xuanjie O3 AI flagship chip, achieving an AnTuTu score of 5.22 million, becoming the first flagship SoC to break through 5 million points.
