Xiaomi Mi 16 appearance first exposed: Matrix triple camera world debut with Snapdragon 8 Elite 2
A blogger exposed the CAD drawing of Xiaomi 16 on a social platform and drew an appearance rendering based on the CAD drawing.
As shown in the picture, Xiaomi 16 has a rear matrix camera DECO, equipped with a Leica triple camera, and the back cover is suspected to be made of two materials spliced together.
The middle frame is designed with metal right-angle edges, the volume button and power button are on the right, and the front is a center-hole straight screen that supports ultrasonic screen fingerprint recognition.
As the latest flagship of Xiaomi’s digital series, Xiaomi 16 will be the first to be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 platform. This chip adopts the second-generation self-developed CPU architecture. The GPU independent cache has been increased from 12MB to 16MB, and the performance has been improved by about 30%. The NPU calculation instance has reached 100TPOS, and the AnTuTu running score is set at more than 4 million points, with unparalleled performance.
In addition, the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 uses TSMC’s third-generation 3nm process N3P. At the same power consumption, the N3P process can improve performance by 4%. At the same main frequency, its power consumption is reduced by 9%, and the overall transistor density is increased by 4%.
As the first model based on the Snapdragon platform, the phone will be unveiled as early as September, competing with the iPhone 17 series that will be launched at the same time.
