Blogger Smart Pikachu revealed that Xiaomi 16 series will launch its own imaging brand.

Currently, among the top domestic brands, except Xiaomi, all have launched their own imaging brands. Huawei has XMAGE, vivo has Blueprint Imaging, OPPO has LUMO Ningguang Imaging, and Honor has also launched AIMAGE.

Nowadays, self-developed imaging brands have become standard on high-end flagships, which can enhance the brand tone and make high-end products recognizable.

It is worth noting that the blogger also revealed that the cooperation between Xiaomi and Leica will continue, and the two should coexist in the future.

After all, a lot of Xiaomi’s high-end imaging quality now comes from Leica, and its unique light and shadow effects are unique in the industry.

Although tonality is a subjective feeling and everyone has different preferences, it is undeniable that Leica’s unique light and shadow texture can significantly enhance the overall atmosphere in humanistic street photography.

Self-developed imaging brands are more responsible for coordinating between systems. For example, Huawei XMAGE has built four major technical bases of “optics, mechanics, electronics, and computing”, systematically coordinating lenses, algorithms, etc. to achieve a unique imaging style.

According to leaks, the Xiaomi 16 series will be the first to be equipped with Snapdragon 8 Elite 2, rather than Xiaomi’s self-developed Xuanjie chip.

Judging from the current situation, Xiaomi’s flagship main chip should still be Snapdragon, and the Xuanjie chip will be an exclusive configuration for specific models such as Xiaomi S series mobile phones and Ultra tablets.

Qualcomm Snapdragon Summit 2025 will be held from September 23rd to September 25th, when Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 will officially debut. It is expected that the first model will be unveiled as early as September. The Xiaomi 16 series is likely to take the first launch again.
