Xiaomi’s big move of the year! Mysterious MIX flagship revealed for the first time
A new Xiaomi MIX series product with model number 25054PXCEC appeared in the IMEI database. According to reports, the phone may be Xiaomi’s next-generation folding screen MIX Fold 5.
Leaks show that Xiaomi MIX Fold 5 has a powerful imaging system, including a 50-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, two 50-megapixel telephoto lenses and two 32-megapixel front lenses.
According to information, Xiaomi MIX Fold 4 was released in July last year. It is Xiaomi’s most advanced, sophisticated, and lightest full-configuration large-folding flagship in history. It weighs as little as 226g, comparable to a straight-screen flagship. It is as thin as 4.59mm when unfolded and 9.47mm when closed.
All this is thanks to the newly upgraded keel hinge 2.0 that was first launched on MIX Fold 4. The hinge width has been reduced from 24mm to 18.8mm, the thickness has been reduced from 2.9mm to 2.3mm, and the weight has been reduced from 23.1g to 19.4g.
In addition, the number of hinge parts of MIX Fold 4 has been reduced from 198 to 137. Behind this seemingly simple reduction is a rethinking and integration of the functions of each part, which ultimately not only simplifies the structure but also significantly improves the overall reliability.
As an iterative model, Xiaomi MIX Fold 5 is expected to further reduce thickness and weight, and upgrade to the Snapdragon 8 Elite series processor. The new product will be launched as early as the second half of the year.
