The specification improvements of Samsung’s new generation flagship phone S26 Ultra have always been the focus of attention from the outside world. The latest news shows that the main camera of S26 Ultra will have “amazing surprises.”

According to blogger “Dingjiao Digital”, the main camera of S26 Ultra may use Sony’s 200-megapixel CMOS, and the sensor size reaches 1/1.1 inches.

He said: “S26 Ultra (small probability will have to wait until S27U) uses SONY’s 1/1.1 200M CMOS, which is super powerful” and “it is likely to be the strongest CIS at present.”

If the leak is true, the 1/1.1 of the S26 Ultra will be significantly larger than the 1/1.3 inch used by the S25 Ultra, which means that the camera hardware of the S26 Ultra will see a substantial improvement.

However, for a long time, the main cameras of Samsung’s flagship models have almost exclusively used its own ISOCELL sensors, and the 200-megapixel main camera equipped with the S23 Ultra is no exception.

If the S26 Ultra really uses Sony sensors for the first time as the leak suggests, this will be a major strategic shift for Samsung and a critical breakthrough for both parties.
