Huawei’s new small foldable nova Flip S first exposed: Hongmeng 5.0, 5000 yuan price range
Digital blogger “Digital Chat Station” recently revealed that Huawei’s new small folding screen Huawei nova Flip S will be released soon. The new phone is a minor facelift iteration of the nova Flip.
Huawei nova Flip S is available in 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, and 12GB+1TB versions, and in six colors: Sakura Pink, Zero White, Sky Blue, Starry Black, Feather Sand Black, and New Green.
The new phone comes pre-installed with Hongmeng OS 5.0 system and is expected to be priced in the 5,000 yuan range.
It is understood that Huawei nova Flip is equipped with Kirin 8 series processor. Some netizens asked the blogger, “The previous generation was Kirin 8 series? Can this generation be 9 series?” The blogger replied, “It’s hard to say. If it is 8020, it would be good too.”
Kirin 8020 was first launched on Huawei nova 14 Pro and nova 14 Ultra.
According to software identification information, Kirin 8020 consists of 1 2.285GHz super core + 3 2.05GHz large cores + 4 1.3GHz small cores, which is basically a down-clocked version of Kirin 9020.
Officials claim that compared to the previous generation, the nova 14 Ultra’s overall performance has increased by 35%, gaming performance has increased by 23%, and operating fluency has increased by 39%.
As a minor facelift iterative model, the appearance of Huawei nova Flip S is expected to change little and it will still use a 1:1 square external screen, but it is expected to see upgrades in external screen interaction, photo-taking algorithms and hinge durability.

Huawei data shows that nova Flip sales exceeded 45,000 units in the first 72 hours after its launch, an 85% increase compared to Pocket S sales.
After the launch of nova Flip, Huawei’s share in the small foldable product category exceeded 70%.
