Fast Technology reported that REDMI has officially announced that the Turbo 5 Max will be the world’s first to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s, and the official article details its performance.

The official statement emphasizes that REDMI Turbo aims to become a full-fledged performance flagship in the 2.5K price range, representing a comprehensive evolution above the Pro version.

This time, the new Turbo series product, REDMI Turbo 5 Max, will be the first to be equipped with the Dimensity 9000 series flagship, jointly defined by REDMI and MediaTek. It features a 3nm advanced process, a second-generation all-big-core leading architecture, 29MB of CPU cache + system cache, and a total transistor count of nearly 30 billion.

Its performance once again leads the pack in its class, and its configuration is top-notch from the start. It is a true flagship native chip, a behemoth with full power and features.

It adopts a second-generation all-big-core CPU architecture, with an octa-core CPU consisting of 1 super-big core Cortex-X925@3.73GHz + 3 super-big core Cortex-X4@3.3GHz + 4 big core Cortex-A720@2.4GHz.

The all-big-core layout completely avoids the inefficiency waste of the traditional big-little-little architecture, where “big cores are idle and small cores are overworked”, resulting in more stable performance output in heavy-load scenarios.

With a combined CPU cache and system cache of 29MB, it rivals flagship processors and leads its class by a significant margin of 20MB. This ample cache allows the X925’s super core to fully unleash its performance advantages.

With its leading CPU architecture and full-capacity cache, the Dimensity 9500s achieved a single-core score of 3040 and a multi-core score of 9600 in Geekbench 6 tests, demonstrating outstanding performance and placing it among the top-performing processors in the Android camp.

At the GPU level, it is equipped with the flagship 12-core Immortalis-G925 GPU with a main frequency of 1.61GHz. It supports the Dimensity OMM ray tracing engine, which can realize realistic light and shadow rendering of details such as leaves and hair, presenting PC-level ray tracing game effects.

It also boasts excellent energy efficiency, with the largest SLC memory in its class working in conjunction with the GPU memory to create an efficient cache hierarchy, effectively reducing the number of DRAM accesses and alleviating bandwidth pressure caused by memory bus contention.

On the software side, the Dimensity 9500s is equipped with the same latest generation of Star Speed Engine technology as the Dimensity 9500, supporting the second-generation Dimensity scheduling engine with flagship-level scheduling and algorithms.

It can dynamically detect foreground tasks and flexibly allocate key resources such as CPU, memory, cache, and network to ensure smooth foreground operation and fully unleash the performance of all major cores.

It supports Star Speed Engine Adaptive Technology 3.0, which enables real-time communication between the chip and the game, intelligently scheduling resources according to the load, allowing for more precise performance release and sustained stable frame rates.

Dimensity Frame Rate Doubling Technology 3.0 supports hardware-level motion estimation and generates intermediate frames to double the frame rate, enabling a leap in game frame rate while significantly saving power consumption.

REDMI states that the Dimensity 9500s’s excellent chip-level software tuning capabilities, combined with the new generation of the Rage Engine, can significantly improve the performance of mainstream games. In heavy-load scenes of large-scale 3D turn-based games at 900P high-definition quality and 60 frames per second, it can achieve a near-full frame rate of 59.5fps for 30 minutes, setting a new high in the 2.5K price range and even surpassing the performance flagship in the 4000 yuan price range.

The national-level MOBA game also outperforms its competitors, not only achieving a full frame rate of 120fps for 100 minutes, but also achieving an industry-leading 115.6fps in the 1% Low frame rate (i.e., the average of 1% frame rate), which directly reflects the smoothness of the game.

REDMI emphasizes that Turbo 5 Max is designed to dramatically raise the performance threshold for mid-range devices with its Max-level performance.
