Fast Technology reported that Honor announced that the Honor Magic8 RSR Porsche Design features the industry’s only dual-ultimate combination: the fifth-generation Snapdragon 8 Ultra + 24GB LPDDR5X Ultra memory, delivering unparalleled performance.
As is well known, due to the surge in demand for AI computing power and the strategic shift of production capacity by leading supply chains, the prices of NAND and DRAM chips have risen significantly. Analysis suggests that DRAM costs now account for approximately 20% of the total manufacturing cost of a device.
As a result, most manufacturers have abandoned the 24GB RAM option. Therefore, the Honor Magic8 RSR Porsche Design may be the only flagship imaging phone in 2026 equipped with a massive 24GB of RAM. Given the high cost of such large RAM, a price increase for the Honor Magic8 RSR Porsche Design cannot be ruled out.

The lens DECO has been changed from the hexagon of the previous generation to a new rounded rectangle.
