According to blogger “RD Observation” on February 26, as of July 2026, Huawei Mate 80 series sales reached approximately 3.5789 million units.

In comparison, as of June 2026, the Xiaomi 17 series had sold approximately 3.5046 million units, making it the top-selling new-generation flagship phone among domestic brands.

The latest data for the Xiaomi 17 series has not yet been released, but it is expected that the Huawei Mate 80 series will soon surpass it and become the new generation of domestic flagship champion.

It’s worth noting that Xiaomi will release its Mate 80 series at the end of September 2025, while Huawei’s Mate 80 series will be released at the end of November 2025, a full two months later than the Xiaomi 17 series.

Despite a nearly two-month gap in launch dates, the Huawei Mate 80 series achieved a rapid sales rebound, demonstrating remarkable growth momentum.

In terms of sales growth, the Huawei Mate 80 series continues its rapid growth, with sales reaching 3.1105 million units as of June 2026, representing a weekly sales increase of nearly 500,000 units.

Data shows that the demand for this generation of Mate 80 standard edition is the strongest, with single-product activation exceeding 1.5 million units, making it the highest-selling single model among domestic new flagship phones in the second half of last year.

Compared to its predecessor, the Mate 70, the standard version of the Mate 80 supports 3D face recognition, making it the first standard flagship in Mate history to support 3D face recognition. In addition, the Mate 80 is upgraded to the Kirin 9020 processor and comes pre-installed with the HarmonyOS 6 operating system.

Most importantly, the Mate 80 standard edition offers more features at a lower price, starting at 4699 yuan, while the Mate 70 standard edition starts at 5499 yuan.
