Huawei Pura 90 series lineup undergoes major changes: possibly only two models available.
Huawei will release its new Pura 90 series as early as April.
According to leaks from fixed-focus digital cameras, the product lineup for this generation may undergo significant adjustments. Rumors suggest that only the standard and Pro versions may be retained, while the original Ultra version may be absent.
Since the P series was rebranded as the Pura series, Huawei has maintained a four-tier product lineup: standard, Pro, Pro+, and Ultra versions. If the Pura 90 series is indeed reduced to two models, it means the product focus will be more concentrated.
With the Ultra version absent, the Huawei Pura 90 Pro will inherit the top-of-the-line technology and become the most powerful imaging flagship in the Huawei Pura series. This product line change has undoubtedly raised market expectations for the hardware specifications of the Pro version.
The relevant filing procedures for this series of models have been completed. In terms of hardware configuration, the new phone is expected to be the first to be equipped with the new Kirin 9030 Pro chip. As for the imaging core, it will be equipped with a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with an ultra-large sensor, boasting extremely powerful specifications.
Compared to its predecessor, the Pura 80 series, the Pura 90 series not only features a top-tier upgrade in image sensor but also boasts a more powerful Kirin core as its underlying support. This means that the new camera’s algorithm processing capabilities and imaging speed will be fully unleashed, resulting in a qualitative leap in image performance.

In terms of screen specifications, the standard version is expected to feature a 6.32-inch screen, while the Pro version will adopt a large 6.87-inch flat screen design. This differentiated size layout can meet the needs of different users for grip comfort and a larger screen viewing area.
Notably, the Pura 90 series will feature a 1.5K resolution as standard across the entire range, and support advanced LTPO adaptive refresh rate technology. This not only ensures high-quality visuals but also effectively reduces power consumption during daily use, balancing smoothness and battery life.
