the iPhone 16 series will be released on September 10. In order to support Apple’s AI functions, the series will come standard with an A18 processor and 8GB of memory.

On the eve of the release of the iPhone 16 series, more news about the iPhone 17 has emerged.

Today, Tianfeng International analyst Ming-Chi Kuo released a report saying that
among the new iPhones in 2025, only the iPhone 17 Pro Max will use 12GB of memory.

The iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone SE4 and other models all have 8GB.

Guo Mingchi predicts that stronger device-side AI will be the main selling point of the iPhone 17 Pro Max.

In addition, the heat dissipation of the iPhone 17 Pro Max will also be epically enhanced, adopting VC and graphite sheet solutions, while other models will continue to be equipped with graphite sheets.

Kuo Ming-Chi said that Pro Max currently accounts for nearly 40% of new phone shipments, and contributes most significantly to Apple’s revenue and profits among hardware products. The differentiation strategy of equipping Pro Max with the strongest specifications (not just a larger screen size than Pro) is expected to continue.
