Today, Transsion Holdings issued an announcement stating that revenue for the first quarter of 2025 reached 13.004 billion yuan, representing a year-on-year decline of 25.45%.
The net profit attributable to the shareholders of the listed company was 490 million yuan, a decrease of 69.87% compared to the previous year.

According to official statements, the sharp drop in net profit was due to the combined impact of market competition and supply chain costs, resulting in decreases in both revenue and gross profit.

According to IDC statistics, Transsion Holdings shipped more than 200 million smartphones worldwide in 2024, achieving a market share of 14%, ranking third among global smartphone brands.

Transsion is also referred to as the “King of African Phones,” as it holds a market share of over 40% in the African smartphone market, ranking first.

In the “Top 100 Most Admired Brands by African Consumers 2024” list published by African Business, Transsion’s three major mobile phone brands — TECNO, Infinix, and itel — ranked 8th, 25th, and 31st, respectively.
