Apple pushed out iOS 18.5 developer preview Beta 3 early this morning. There are still not many changes. The iOS 18.5 version is currently basically minor repairs.

The changes are to the Mail and Settings apps. In the Mail app, users can easily turn off contact photos directly in the app through the “…” button in the upper right corner.

In the Settings app, Apple is displaying AppleCare+ coverage information more prominently.

According to leaks, Apple is expected to release the stable version of iOS 18.5 in May. It is currently conducting public relations for Apple smartphones in some countries and regions, including China.

It is reported that Apple plans to launch Apple smartphones specifically for the Chinese market in iOS 18.5 as soon as possible, in cooperation with Baidu and Alibaba.

The leak pointed out that since overseas large models such as GPT and Gemini cannot provide services directly in China, Baidu Wenxin’s large model will become the cloud-based “brain” of the Chinese version of Apple’s intelligence, providing it with key intelligent support.

Previously, Baidu has been developing an artificial intelligence search function that can process images and text, and has upgraded the Chinese version of Siri voice assistant.

The Chinese version of Apple’s smartphone will also be equipped with a review engine supported by Alibaba to ensure that AI-generated content complies with local Chinese regulations.
