Hisense releases the A10 series of 5G phones with e-ink screens: featuring a magnetically attachable color LCD back screen.
Fast Technology reported that Hisense officially released the A10 series e-ink screen 5G mobile phones, which are divided into two versions: A10 Pro and A10 Ultra, with a starting price of 2,799 yuan. They went on sale simultaneously.
All models feature a 6.13-inch Carta1300 e-ink screen with a resolution of 1648 x 824, reaching 300 PPI. It supports 256 levels of grayscale and is equipped with 36 levels of dual-color front light, relying on ambient light reflection for imaging. It has no blue light and no flicker, making it suitable for long-term e-book reading, PDF annotation, and exam preparation.
Equipped with the E Ink T2000 hardware TCON chip, it independently manages screen refresh, optimizes ghosting issues, and reduces processor load.
One of the biggest highlights of the new product is that it can be equipped with a magnetic color LCD back screen. The 4.96-inch secondary screen is attached to the metal contacts via a magnetic ring on the back, so it can be attached and removed at the same time.
After installing the color screen, you can browse color comics, view charts, play short videos, and use social media apps, balancing both focused reading and multimedia entertainment. When you don’t need the color screen, simply remove it and return to the slim e-ink screen.
The A10 Ultra comes standard with a magnetic secondary screen, while the A10 Pro has reserved magnetic contacts, allowing users to purchase the secondary screen accessory separately.
Performance is enhanced by the Qualcomm QCM6690 octa-core 4nm processor, supporting 5G full network connectivity. It is deeply optimized for e-ink screen scenarios, automatically reducing frequency and controlling power consumption in static reading scenarios, and improving computing response in multi-document and handwritten annotation scenarios.
It comes pre-installed with Android 16 and supports long-term system updates and security patches. It features a 48MP main rear camera and is fully equipped with NFC, infrared remote control, magnetic wireless charging, Wi-Fi 6, and other functions.
The entire unit weighs 190g and is available in two colors: Moon White and Bamboo Green. Prices are as follows:
The A10 Pro 8+128GB version is priced at 2799 yuan, the 8+256GB version at 2999 yuan, and the 12+512GB version at 3499 yuan.
