Honor’s Magic V5 stood out as one of the top foldable smartphones released last year gaining attention for its premium features and design. Now, early information about its next generation model the Magic V6 has started to surface. A reliable source, Digital Chat Station has shared a few early specifications related to the device. Based on current information, Honor is likely planning to launch the Magic V6 in China by mid 2026.

The upcoming Honor Magic V6 is expected to use Qualcomm’s high end Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset which is no surprise for a premium foldable device. In addition to the new chipset, the device is also expected to come with noticeable improvements in battery capacity. Based on information shared by Digital Chat Station, the company is testing two separate battery configurations for the Magic V6.

The first variant of the device comes with a 6,900mAh dual cell battery and this is expected to be the model released in global markets. The second variant is equipped with a larger 7,200mAh dual cell battery and is more likely to be exclusive to the Chinese launch. While Honor has not yet shared any information about charging speeds, it has been confirmed that both variants of the Magic V6 will support wireless charging.

Another major upgrade expected on Honor’s next-generation foldable phone is a powerful 200MP main camera which had already been mentioned in earlier rumors this year. The main camera is expected to be paired with a periscope style telephoto lens that supports 3x optical zoom. Beyond the camera setup, the Magic V6 is also rumored to feature a side mounted fingerprint sensor, improved dust and water resistance and a slimmer more refined design.
