According to Fast Technology on September 14, in addition to the continued hot sales of the Mate XT series tri-fold flagship, Huawei’s latest wide-screen smartphone has also been well received by the market, with its popularity no less than that of the foldable flagship.
The well-known digital blogger Digital Chat Station revealed in an article today that Huawei’s new wide-screen smartphone, the Pura X View, has already achieved phenomenal sales. The latest data from channel feedback shows that from its official launch on September 9th to September 13th, the cumulative sales of this model across all channels have exceeded 300,000 units in just five days.
On the first day of its official launch, an industry blogger released relevant statistics showing that the Pura X View had sold over 180,000 units across all platforms in just 24 hours. Many popular color options and large memory storage versions sold out immediately upon release, and offline stores even had to queue up to restock in order to get the new phone.
The Huawei Pura X View features a 6.39-inch wide display with a 16:9.5 aspect ratio. The screen has almost equal-width narrow bezels on all four sides, making the screen edges virtually invisible and significantly enhancing the immersive viewing experience compared to ordinary flat-screen phones.
The new phone is only 6.68mm thick and weighs only 201g. Even if users hold it with one hand for a long time to watch videos or browse social media, they will not experience any noticeable hand fatigue or soreness. The comfort of holding it far exceeds that of regular flagship phones in the same price range.
In terms of pricing, the configuration versions of this new phone are also clearly tiered: the basic 12GB+256GB version is priced at 5999 yuan, the 12GB+512GB version is priced at 6999 yuan, and the top-of-the-line 12GB+1TB version is priced at 8499 yuan.
Based on feedback from numerous users who have already purchased the device, the innovative wide and straight screen design, coupled with a very reasonable price compared to other flagship phones in the same price range, is the core reason why this new phone sold out immediately after its launch. Many users who originally planned to buy a regular flat-screen flagship were moved by this new large-screen and lightweight design and placed orders directly.
Huawei’s newly launched wide-screen smartphone has precisely tapped into the needs of many consumers who want a larger screen but don’t want to bear the premium and bulky feel of foldable screens. With almost no competitors, this new market segment has made it another dark horse in the Android flagship market this year.
