The iQOO Neo 9 series, set to launch next month, is generating buzz with its incorporation of Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8s Gen3 processor. On March 6th, leaker “DCS” revealed some specifications of the new iQOO Z9 and Neo 9 series devices.

The iQOO Z9 series is scheduled for an international release on March 12th, featuring a 1.5K OLED flat screen, and powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen3 processor. Official teasers released today indicate that the iQOO Z9 will sport a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 chip internationally, boasting a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2800*1260, a refresh rate of 120Hz, and a peak brightness of 1800 nits, suggesting variations between the international and domestic versions of the device.

The upcoming iQOO Neo 9 series aims to bring the 1.5K OLED flat screen and Snapdragon 8s Gen3 processor to a wider audience, along with a large battery capacity. The Snapdragon 8s Gen3 processor, codenamed SM8635, is an upcoming 5G chip from Qualcomm that promises flagship-level performance.

It shares the same architecture as the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 and is manufactured using TSMC’s 4nm process. The Snapdragon 8s Gen3’s overall performance is expected to fall between the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 and Snapdragon 8 Gen3, with AnTuTu scores surpassing 1.7 million points. Additionally, it is anticipated to be more power-efficient than its predecessor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen3, due to a slightly lower CPU frequency.

This launch positions the iQOO Neo 9 series as a highly anticipated release, promising cutting-edge performance and efficiency, setting a new benchmark for mid-range smartphones.
