iQOO Neo12 debuts Visionox’s Sky Mirror luminescent material.
Fast Technology reported that Visionox announced on its official WeChat account that the iQOO Neo12 will be the only device in the industry to feature Visionox’s “Sky Mirror” luminescent material and the only 2K 185Hz screen to utilize Visionox’s pTSF technology. This screen was jointly defined, developed, and calibrated by iQOO, Visionox, and Tsinghua University, creating a “shining example of Chinese screen technology.”
It is understood that pTSF represents Tsinghua University’s latest advancement in OLED luminescent materials. Combined with the “Sky Mirror” technology, it can achieve ultra-high brightness while maintaining extremely high efficiency and an ultra-long lifespan.
pTSF stands for phosphorescence-assisted thermally activated sensitized fluorescence technology, which attempts to solve a long-standing problem in OLED materials: the difficulty of simultaneously achieving high efficiency, long lifespan, and high color purity. Its principle can be understood as an “energy relay,” allowing energy to be transferred with near 100% efficiency.
Specifically, the iQOO Neo12 supports a minimum brightness of 1 nit in low-light environments, with a 27% reduction in power consumption, even lower than many 1.5K screens in the industry. The new 2K 185Hz high-performance driver chip features custom-designed driver circuits from Visionox, iQOO, an IC manufacturer, and a wafer foundry.
The screen also supports game glare protection, which can automatically identify and process high-brightness and high-saturation areas in the game screen, improving visual comfort by 29.1%, making it the best mobile phone screen in the history of the iQOO Neo series.
In addition, the iQOO Neo12 boasts a “dual-core” combination, emphasizing its “ultra-level performance dominance.” The phone features a dual-core architecture consisting of the fifth-generation Snapdragon 8 Ultra and the self-developed Q3 gaming chip, further enhancing visual performance and smoothness in high-load gaming scenarios.
The new product will be released on October 28th, and pre-orders are now open on major platforms.
