OnePlus founder Pete Lau announced in the OnePlus community that OnePlus will abandon the classic three-stage button.
Liu Zuohu explained that OnePlus has received continuous feedback from users who hope that the phone can be equipped with a custom function button.
Therefore, the new OnePlus/OPPO products to be released will be upgraded to smart buttons, which will provide the same functions as the three-stage buttons, allowing users to freely switch between options such as mute and ring. According to leaked information, the upcoming models such as OnePlus Ace 5S, OPPO Find X8 Ultra, OnePlus 13T, etc. will all be upgraded to smart buttons, and will no longer be the classic three-stage buttons.
According to the official announcement, OPPO Find X8 Ultra will be officially released in April.
