OnePlus ushers in the era of 165Hz ultra-high refresh rate

Fast Technology reported that OnePlus China President Li Jie released a poster. The poster shows that in the 165 days since OnePlus launched the 165Hz ultra-high refresh rate era, no truly competitive rival has emerged in the market.

Li Jie expressed his delight at seeing the industry collectively moving towards ultra-high refresh rates, and was even more gratified to receive a large number of genuine positive reviews from users. To answer everyone’s questions about this technology, he plans to interact with netizens through a live stream and share his journey and experiences over this period.

Back in October of last year, the OnePlus 15 officially ushered in the era of 165Hz ultra-high refresh rate. This phone was the first to feature a 1.5K+165Hz high-resolution, high-refresh-rate screen, successfully leading the mobile gaming industry into an era of ultra-smooth 165fps ultra-high frame rate.

Thanks to its powerful computing capabilities and scheduling optimizations, the OnePlus 15 boasts an industry-leading 1% Low Frame rate, becoming the first to achieve a continuous 165fps in mainstream games. Compared to the traditional 120fps, 165fps delivers 45 more frames per second.

This denser screen output allows players to spot opponents earlier in shooting games, enabling faster aiming and skill activation. This competitive advantage of being two steps ahead makes OnePlus devices an essential tool for countless FPS gamers.

Less than six months later, the upcoming OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra will continue this core advantage. The new phone not only features the same 165Hz ultra-high refresh rate screen, but also the Dimensity 9500 flagship platform, deeply integrated with MediaTek, delivering even more aggressive performance.

Both teams directly modified the chip’s underlying GPU scheduling logic, aiming to fully utilize the hardware’s potential without relying on a dedicated graphics chip. The OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra will thus deliver a full-frame gaming experience comparable to professional esports equipment.

The device has already successfully obtained network access permission. As the latest member of the OnePlus performance family, the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra is expected to be officially released in late April.
