Huawei Nova 12 Pro Real Image appears in one of the offline stores in China. The series, following the launch of the Mate 60 series in September, is expected to include the Nova 12, Nova 12 Pro, and Nova 12 Ultra models. While the design language and main colors have been revealed by Huawei, details about the processor, 5G support, and front design are still under wraps.

The Nova 12 Pro is now confirmed to feature the Kirin 8000 processor after looking at the real image exposed, a new mid-range chip designed by Huawei, following its predecessors like the Kirin 710, 810, 820, and 985.

This processor is expected to be less powerful than the Kirin 9000S, aligning with the Nova series’ product positioning. The Nova 12 Pro’s screen resolution is 2776×1224, suggesting it might use BOE’s latest high-frequency dimming eye-protection screen, possibly supporting a frequency of 1920Hz or even 2160Hz.

Huawei Nova 12 Ultra however is expected to feature a high-end Kirin 9000S chip as Kazam reported earlier.

The Nova 12 series is expected to support 5G, and the Ultra model might include satellite communication capabilities. The front dual punch-hole design is likely to support HarmonyOS 4’s new live window feature, combining a wide-angle selfie camera and a 2x portrait telephoto lens.

The series might also introduce a variable aperture feature, likely reserved for the higher-end Pro or Ultra models, with a large CMOS sensor.

Overall, the Huawei Nova 12 series seems promising with its bold design emphasizing fashion elements, similar to the Mate 60 Pro’s equal-depth four-curved surface, enhancing the sliding experience.

The series marks a significant upgrade from the Snapdragon 778G processor to the new Kirin 8000 chip. With its rare front dual-camera portrait selfies and powerful XMAGE imaging, the Nova 12 series appears to be a sincere effort from Huawei.

In terms of pricing, the Nova 12 series is expected to be slightly more expensive than the Nova 11 series, given its enhanced features. The launch of the Nova 12 series also completes Huawei’s new generation of smartphones, offering a range of products across different price points, including the Enjoy, Nova, P, and Mate lines.

The Nova 12 series, targeting the mid-range market, signifies Huawei’s full-fledged return to the smartphone market, bringing new possibilities to the domestic mobile industry.
