Samsung is going all out! Vows to use Exynos 2600 in the S26 series

Samsung is going all out and hopes to use the Exynos 2600 chip for the Galaxy S26 series in 2026.
The foundry business of Samsung Electronics’ semiconductor division (SD) has not only formed a special task force for the Exynos 2600, but also plans to gain technological advantages in the next-generation Exynos processors.
It is worth noting that Samsung has regarded the Exynos 2600 as the “brain” of the Galaxy S26 and has prioritized its integration into the series. The chip is expected to enter the prototype mass production stage in May, and a decision on whether to use it in the Galaxy S26 series will be made before the end of the year.
In addition, there are reports that the yield of the Exynos 2600 based on the 2nm process is much higher than that of the Exynos 2500 based on the 3nm process.
A semiconductor industry insider said: “We have formed a special task force covering all related product lines for the Galaxy S26 to be released early next year.”
Samsung failed to use Exynos chips in any Galaxy devices in 2024, including the Galaxy S25 series, mainly due to low yield issues.
However, Samsung may use the Exynos 2500 chip in the 2025 low-end folding screen mobile phones Galaxy Z Flip7 FE and Galaxy S25 FE.
