local Japanese media once again confirmed that Sony Xperia 1 VII will be launched in the local market on May 15.

However, the global launch of the phone has been postponed to July, and the domestic version is expected to be released in July, and will only be sold locally in the early stage.

At present, the appearance design and configuration of Sony Xperia 1 VII are already relatively clear. Its appearance continues the family design that has lasted for many years, and it is a clear stream among today’s flagship mobile phones.

The front of the phone is equipped with a 6.5-inch hole-free OLED, which is what Sony has always insisted on. It still has the same 19.5:9 ratio as the previous generation, conforming to the mainstream, and does not adopt the ancestral 21:9 ultra-wide screen.

The resolution has returned to the ancestral 4K, which is the only ultra-high specification in the industry and supports a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz.

It is reported that Sony cut off the 4K screen in the previous generation Xperia 1 VI because the 4K panel could not support dynamic refresh rate and could only be stuck at 60Hz or 120Hz, which was too power-consuming. Now Sony may have solved this problem.

In terms of performance, the Sony Xperia 1 VII will be equipped with Qualcomm’s most powerful Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition, providing 12/16GB of memory and 256/512GB of storage space options.

The dimensions are 162*74.5*8.5mm, which is slightly thicker than the previous generation’s 162*74*8.2mm. The rated battery capacity is 4850mAh, which is the same as the previous generation.

It is worth noting that the Sony Xperia 1 VII still retains the 3.5mm headphone jack on the top and introduces Sony’s audio brand Walkman technology.
