The iQOO 16 is among the first phones to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Super Edition 6th generation processor
Fast Technology reported that the iQOO 16 (model number V2606A) appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking website. The phone is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Super Extreme Edition platform, with a single-core score of 3434 and a multi-core score of 9334.
These are benchmark scores from an early engineering sample of the iQOO 16. Its performance has not yet been fully realized. The actual single-core score of the mass-produced model is expected to exceed 4,000 points, and the multi-core score will also exceed 10,000 points.
In terms of specifications, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Ultra’s CPU consists of two 5.01GHz super cores, three 4.03GHz performance cores, and three 3.74GHz energy efficiency cores. It integrates an Adreno 850 GPU and is manufactured based on TSMC’s most advanced 2nm process. It is Qualcomm’s first 2nm mobile chip.
Besides its top-tier chip, another major highlight of the iQOO 16 is its screen. The phone will feature a new generation 2K Samsung Everest Screen, jointly developed by iQOO and Samsung, achieving top-tier screen quality in the industry.
Looking back at its predecessor, the iQOO 15 was already equipped with a 2K Samsung Everest screen, using Samsung M14 luminescent material, supporting an adaptive refresh rate of 1 to 144Hz LTPO, a manual peak brightness of 1000 nits, a full-screen peak brightness of 2600 nits, a local peak brightness of up to 6000 nits, covering 118% of the P3 color gamut and supporting Dolby Vision.
With a pixel density of 508 PPI, the display effect is extremely clear and delicate. Moreover, the iQOO 15’s screen eliminates the polarizing layer in traditional OLED screens and uses a nano-lithography filter film instead, which improves light transmission efficiency by 40%, reduces power consumption by 44%, and extends screen life by 50%.
Building on this foundation, the iQOO 16 will achieve further breakthroughs in multiple dimensions, including display effects, eye protection performance, and power consumption control. The new phone is expected to be officially released as early as September, at which time its full performance and screen capabilities will also be revealed.
