The vivo X500 is here: the world’s first phone to feature the Dimensity 9600 Pro processor.
According to Fast Technology on August 27, the mobile phone market is about to usher in a large-scale wave of new models in September. Major brands such as Apple, Huawei, Xiaomi, vivo, and OPPO will launch their flagship models one after another, covering multiple product lines including candybar flagships and foldable screens, and the competitive landscape is fully unfolding.
In this flagship showdown, Vivo will be the first to deliver. The vivo X500 series will be the first domestically produced iterative flagship phone with a straight design, and Vivo will simultaneously launch three models: X500, X500 Pro, and X500 Pro Max.
The X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max will be the first to be equipped with the 2nm flagship platform Dimensity 9600 Pro, which is the most powerful Dimensity flagship chip in the industry. It adopts an 8-core design, with the CPU consisting of 2 4.55GHz ultra-large cores, 3 4.35GHz large cores and 3 3.1GHz medium cores.
Compared to the previous generation Dimensity 9500’s maximum clock speed of 4.21GHz, the Dimensity 9600 Pro’s ultra-high core clock speed breaks MediaTek’s historical record, resulting in a more aggressive performance release.

It utilizes a second-generation 2nm N2P process, delivering powerful performance and cool power consumption under heavy loads. In addition, the Dimensity 9600 Pro is equipped with a high-performance AI processor. From the Dimensity 9400, the industry’s first “intelligent agent” chip, to the Dimensity 9500’s dual NPU architecture, while the industry is still vying for the CPU and GPU, the “first brain,” Dimensity has already placed its heavy bets on the NPU, the “second brain.”
