Huawei officially launched the Pura X Max this afternoon. This is the industry’s first large-size foldable phone, also known as the “Large Foldable”.

Yu Chengdong explained that the proportions of the Pura X Max are inspired by A4 paper. Its size after unfolding and folding is similar to that of A4 paper, which can present a golden reading experience.

The inner screen is a 7.69-inch WQHD+ flexible OLED screen with a 16:10 golden widescreen ratio. When unfolded, the viewable area is close to that of a tablet, providing a more comfortable viewing experience for office work, watching movies, and creating content. It supports an adaptive refresh rate of 1–120Hz LTPO, a peak brightness of 3000 nits (20% APL), 1440 Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and a maximum touch sampling rate of 300 Hz.

The external screen is 5.4 inches, making it convenient for daily one-handed operation. For high-frequency use, there is no need to unfold the body. The peak brightness is 3500 nits (20% APL), and it supports a 1-120 Hz LTPO adaptive refresh rate, 1440 Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and a maximum touch sampling rate of 240 Hz.

It adopts a brand-new basalt waterdrop hinge, which increases the screen space by 16% and the drop resistance by 33%; it adopts a triple composite layer of UTG glass, carbon fiber support layer and ultra-high molecular weight buffer layer.

The exterior features a geometric aesthetic, minimalist design, and a symmetrical layout along the central axis. The camera Deco is equipped with a ceramic bezel, crafted using ultra-high temperature forging at 1520℃ and nano-level rare earth technology. It is available in five colors: Midnight Black, Zero White, Interstellar Blue, Olive Gold, and Vibrant Orange, with a collector’s edition model also launched simultaneously.

At its core, it is equipped with the Kirin 9030 Pro chip, which improves overall performance by 30%, CPU performance by 25%, GPU performance by 40%, and NPU performance by 70%, and supports real-time ray tracing hardware acceleration.

The system comes pre-installed with HarmonyOS 6.1, equipped with Xiaoyi Smart Brain and the industry’s first companion AI, supporting functions such as A2A intelligent agent collaboration, time machine, world view, photo editing, presentation, and smart note-taking; it also features the first-ever pre-installed Born to Draw App, enhancing the creative experience.

The rear-mounted XMAGE professional imaging system, covering all focal lengths, outperforms many flagship smartphones with candybar-style cameras.

50MP super-zoom main camera: F1.4–F4.0 ten-stop physical variable aperture, OIS, RYYB sensor.

50MP ultra-large aperture periscope telephoto lens: F2.2, 3.5x optical zoom, 7x optical quality zoom, OIS, telephoto macro, with 127% more light intake than the iPhone 17 Pro Max.

12.5MP ultra-wide-angle lens: F2.2, RYYB sensor.

The second-generation red maple original color camera improves color reproduction by 43% and light intake by 96%.

It supports features such as XMAGE smart shooting, AI portrait retouching, 3D dynamic photos, and hover shooting.

It has a built-in 5300mAh high-capacity battery, supports 100W super fast charging, 80W wireless super fast charging, and wired/wireless reverse charging.
