vivo and Xinhua News Agency upgrade their strategic partnership

Fast Technology reported that vivo and Xinhua News Agency recently held a strategic cooperation signing ceremony and a handover ceremony for the “Xinhua News Agency’s designated mobile phone for integrated media”.

vivo officially joined Xinhua News Agency’s brand project, and the two parties reached a strategic partnership. vivo phones became the designated devices for Xinhua News Agency’s integrated media platform. The cooperation has moved from technical collaboration to a new stage of joint technical development. Several relevant leaders from vivo and Xinhua News Agency attended and witnessed this upgrade in cooperation.

The vivo X300 Ultra, as the core model designated for use in converged media, is equipped with a full-focal-length main camera and a Zeiss master lens group, including a 14mm ultra-wide-angle lens (LYTIA 818), a 35mm documentary lens II (LYTIA 901), and an 85mm gimbal-level telephoto lens (HP0). All three lenses are large-sensor main cameras, equipped with OIS optical image stabilization across the entire focal length, with a CIPA rating of up to 7.0.

Its core imaging capabilities are reflected in full-range 4K 120fps Log video recording, equivalent 200mm/400mm Zeiss teleconverter extension, and VS1 pre-processing chip + V3+ dual-core architecture, which realizes hardware-level pre-processing and post-processing collaboration, greatly improving the efficiency and image quality of shooting in complex scenes.

It is reported that vivo and Xinhua News Agency have been cooperating since 2021, and have continued to expand the scope of cooperation over the past six years, carrying out multi-dimensional cooperation in content co-creation, technology collaboration, and cultural inheritance.

During the 2026 Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference, Xinhua News Agency reporters used the vivo X300 Ultra with a professional imaging kit to complete the full coverage and live broadcast of the conference. The device can adapt to complex shooting and live broadcast transmission scenarios, enabling lightweight professional content production.

The two parties will collaborate on imaging technology cooperation and joint development of video and live streaming technology standards, leveraging “imaging + AI” to promote the lightweight and intelligent development of news production.

During the same period, as part of the “China Brands Go Global” campaign, vivo also donated photography equipment to the Uruguayan Presidential Press Office to promote the application of imaging technology in international news reporting.
