Apple will launch the iPhone 17 Air this year to replace the Plus series. The phone will feature an ultra-thin body with a thickness of only about 5.5mm.

Overseas blogger Lewis Hilsenteger posted the latest version of the model and compared it with other models.

As you can see, the new iPhone 17 Air is extremely light and thin, and even looks to be only half the thickness of the Pro Max.

Therefore, people are worried about the strength of the body. Previously, the iPhone 6 Plus had the “bending gate” incident, which caused the phone to bend and deform in the pocket.

Of course, the iPhone 6 Plus back then had an ordinary aluminum alloy body, but it was revealed that the iPhone 17 Air will be equipped with a titanium-aluminum alloy body, which greatly improves its strength.

The phone will adopt a brand new design in Apple’s history – a horizontal bar rear camera, and the overall shape is similar to a runway, similar to the Google Pixel 9 series.

There is also a major upgrade on the front side. The screen will be upgraded to a high-refresh screen. This is the first time in Apple’s history that high refresh has been introduced for mobile phones other than the Pro version, greatly improving the daily experience.

It is worth noting that this ultra-thin body also brings a major disadvantage. The battery capacity is only more than 3,000 mAh. With the support of large screen + high refresh rate, battery life may become a huge pain point.
