Blogger Dingjiao Digital revealed that Xiaomi Xuanjie O2 is more powerful than expected. This chip adopts the latest public version of Arm architecture, and its large scale guarantees a 15% IPC improvement.

IPC stands for instructions per cycle, which refers to the number of instructions a CPU can execute in each clock cycle. It is one of the key indicators for evaluating the actual performance of a CPU. Simply put, the higher the IPC, the stronger the CPU’s performance at the same clock frequency.

In addition to improving IPC, Xiaomi Xuanjie O2 is expected to adopt Arm’s latest Cortex-X9 series super core, code-named Travis. The next MediaTek Dimensity 9500 to be released will also adopt this super core, and Xuanjie O2 will use TSMC’s 3nm process. The new product is expected to debut in the first half of next year.

Finally, let’s review the parameters and specifications of Xiaomi Xuanjie O1. This chip adopts a “2+4+2+2” ten-core quad-cluster design, of which two Cortex-X925 super cores with a main frequency of 3.9GHz can provide greater power when processing complex tasks.

Four Cortex-A725 large cores with a main frequency of 3.4GHz and two Cortex-A725 large cores with a main frequency of 1.9GHz can ensure smooth multi-tasking processing, while two 1.8GHz Cortex-A520 small cores are responsible for low-power scenarios.
