Galaxy A57 5G Could Charge Faster Than the Galaxy S26 Flagship
A new mid-range phone from Samsung, the Galaxy A57 5G has appeared on China’s 3C certification site. The listing indicates that it may support faster charging than even the upcoming Galaxy S26 flagship models, which is unexpected for a mid-range device.
The 3C listing reveals that Samsung’s Galaxy A57 5G (SM-A5760) will come with 45W fast charging support. The listing also provide more details showing that it can handle wired charging at both 10 volts and 4.5 amps or 15 volts and 3 amps, which makes charging much faster than normal.

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ were previously listed on the 3C certification website in September with a maximum wired charging speed of 25W. Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy A56 comes in two storage options: 128GB with 8GB RAM for $499.99 and 256GB with 8GB RAM for $549.99.
Samsung may end up disappointing people who are looking forward to the Galaxy S26 and S26+. The mid-range Galaxy A57 5G will be much more affordable, yet it is expected to charge faster than the flagship models which is surprising for a lower-priced device. The S26 and S26+ will have still clear advantages in other areas such as a more powerful processor, better camera setup, high resolution display, premium design and other features that make them top tier devices. However, it would have been a nice bonus if Samsung had also increased the charging speeds on the S26 and S26+ because fast charging is an important feature for many users and it would have made the flagships feel even more complete.
