Galaxy S25 One UI 8.5 Beta: Latest Progress Revealed
As we had expected, Samsung is moving forward with the One UI 8.5 beta for the Galaxy S25 lineup. The first beta firmware for the S25 Ultra has been spotted on Samsung’s servers, confirming that the beta program is officially underway and that users may soon get access to the new features.
Were we totally right about the One UI 8.5 beta starting in November? Not exactly. However, this doesn’t necessarily mean our sources were wrong. It seems that the anticipated delay in the Galaxy S26 series has also caused the One UI 8.5 beta program to be postponed. Since November is coming to end, there is now very little possibility that the beta will start before the month ends.
This is still an important step toward the One UI 8.5 beta program. It shows that Samsung’s original plan for the update is still on track. Looking back, the first beta versions of One UI 7 and One UI 8 appeared around three to four weeks before the public beta release. If Samsung follow a similar schedule this time the One UI 8.5 beta could arrive in the third week of December. While the exact release date is not confirmed this pattern gives Samsung users a clear idea of when they might get access to the new features and improvements of the upcoming One UI version.
At the moment, there is no clear information on how widely the One UI 8.5 beta will be available. Samsung doesn’t have a consistent track record that would make it easy to guess when the beta will appear. The regions that usually participate in major beta programs may or may not be part of this one, so we will have to wait for official confirmation to know for sure.
