Fast Technology reported that Samsung’s first tri-fold screen Galaxy Z TriFold officially went on sale in South Korea. A 42-year-old freelancer in Seoul became the first user of Samsung’s tri-fold screen. In order to get the new phone as soon as possible, he queued in the freezing cold for nearly 24 hours, which can be described as “true fan”.

Currently, the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold Chinese version is available for pre-order, with a starting price of 19,999 yuan (16GB+512GB), and is only available in Time Black.

While Samsung wasn’t the first brand to launch a tri-fold screen, the Galaxy Z TriFold’s folding mechanism was an industry first, completely different from Huawei’s tri-fold screen. Specifically, the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold uses a G-shaped fold, while Huawei’s tri-fold screen uses an S-shaped fold.

It’s worth noting that the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold features two screens: an outer screen and a 10-inch inner screen. Users can either fully unfold the 10-inch inner screen or use only the 6.5-inch outer screen.

Samsung has included an official Kevlar protective case in the packaging this time. It is not only lightweight and drop-resistant, but also has an integrated folding kickstand on the back. When unfolded, it can stably support the phone, saving you the trouble of buying a separate stand.

In addition, the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold is equipped with a 5600mAh battery, weighs 309g, has a thickness of 4.2mm when unfolded and 12.9mm when folded, is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Ultra platform, and supports dual SIM dual standby.
