OnePlus 15T Reportedly Scheduled for Early Q2 Launch
According to leakster Digital Chat Station, the OnePlus 13T was first announced in April of last year. Based on this, it seems that the next model the OnePlus 15T will likely follow a similar timeline and be announced around the same month. Currently, these reports only refer to the release of the phone in China. At this point, there is no information available about whether the phone will be released in other countries or which countries might get it.
You might remember that OnePlus released very similar phone called the OnePlus 13s in India. The main differences between this model and the regular version were the battery and the front camera. First the battery was slightly smaller at 5,850mAh compared to the 6,260mAh battery in the regular model. Second the front facing camera had a lower resolution supporting 16 megapixels and 1080p video while the original model had a 32 megapixel camera capable of recording in 4K. Apart from these differences, the phone was almost the same featuring a 6.32 inch display, the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and two 50MP rear cameras.
The upcoming OnePlus 15T is expected to come with a much larger battery than previous models, starting at 7,000mAh. Digital Chat Station (DCS) says OnePlus might even aim for a battery as big as 7,500mAh. This approach may follow the same pattern seen with the 13T and 13s, where different battery sizes were used for the Chinese and Indian versions of the phone.

Regarding the other features of the phone, it is expected to come with a flat 6.3-inch LTPS OLED display. The display will have a 1.5K resolution and a higher refresh rate of 165Hz, which is an improvement over the previous 2025 model that used a 120Hz LTPO panel. In addition, the fingerprint scanner will be upgraded to an ultrasonic type offering faster and more secure unlocking.
The upcoming phone is reportedly expected to be powered by the full Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, instead of using the lower-tier non-Elite Gen 5 version. It will also have an IP68 rated body, which protects against dust and water. OnePlus is expected to include a magnetic snap on case with the device. The previous 13T and 13s models also had a magnetic case but it’s worth noting that the magnetic case was only for attaching the cover and did not support wireless charging.
Information about the camera on the upcoming phone is still a little unclear. From what has been reported so far, it doesn’t seem like there will be any major upgrades compared to the previous model. The telephoto lens is expected to use the same 50MP JN5 sensor as the previous phone. So far, no information has been shared about the main camera’s specifications and there is no word on whether a third camera will be included.
One of the main questions surrounding the OnePlus 15T is whether it will be made available in more regions compared to the earlier mini version. If it does reach more markets, it could go head to head with other high end phones such as the Xiaomi 17 Pro, the vivo X300 and possibly the Oppo Find X9s. In that case, the iQOO 15 mini may no longer be a serious competitor.
