Honor Magic V6 Battery Capacity Officially Certified by 3C
The Honor Magic V6 has been officially confirmed for a debut at this year’s MWC Barcelona and ahead of its launch, several rumors have surfaced regarding its battery capacity. Early reports claimed the foldable smartphone would be offered in two variants featuring batteries rated at 6,900 mAh and 7,200 mAh. One recent report even went as far as claiming that the Magic V6 would feature the largest battery ever seen on a foldable smartphone. Now, thanks to certification details from China’s 3C authority, we have a clearer picture of the battery capacities of the Honor Magic V6.
Based on a screenshot of the 3C certification shared on Weibo by a Chinese tipster, the Honor Magic V6’s largest battery is listed with a rated capacity of 7,000 mAh. The battery consists of dual cells rated at 2,320 mAh and 4,680 mAh respectively. Taking this into account, the typical battery capacity is expected to be higher with estimates pointing to around 7,150 mAh.

The smaller battery variant is listed with a rated capacity of 6,700 mAh achieved through a dual cell configuration consisting of 2,195 mAh and 4,505 mAh cells. Taking standard industry practices into account this suggests that the phone’s typical battery capacity could be advertised at approximately 6,850 mAh.
The Honor Magic V5 launched last year with different battery capacities tailored to specific regions. The China specific model featured a larger 6,100 mAh battery while the international version shipped with a smaller 5,820 mAh unit. Given this precedent, it’s possible that Honor will follow a similar strategy with the upcoming Magic V6. The Magic V5 was positioned firmly in the premium segment with its 512GB storage and 16GB RAM variant carrying a launch price of approximately $1,649.
Although Honor has officially announced that the Magic V6 will be unveiled at MWC Barcelona, the company has so far remained tight lipped about the device’s technical specifications and hardware details. Reports indicate that the Magic V6 may be driven by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC positioning it among the most powerful foldables on the market. Additionally, the device is said to sport a 200MP main camera suggesting that Honor may place a strong emphasis on photography with its next generation foldable.
