According to industry sources, REDMI is expected to release its flagship REDMI K100 as early as September this year. This product represents a significant leap forward compared to previous generations of the K series, both in terms of core configuration and positioning.

This phone will feature a 6.6-inch flat screen with an excellent feel, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Ultra flagship platform, a 200-megapixel main rear camera, an 8000mAh battery, and support for 100W wired fast charging. It will also come standard with symmetrical dual speakers, an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor, and IP68 water resistance. All its core specifications are at the highest level in the K series, making it the most powerful high-end flagship in REDMI’s history.

It is worth mentioning that due to the recent sharp rise in the price of upstream memory chips, the final launch price of REDMI K100 will most likely be raised accordingly, making it difficult to maintain the starting price of the previous generation.

According to publicly available industry data released by TrendForce, global DRAM contract prices have risen by more than 40% for two consecutive quarters from the fourth quarter of 2025 to the first quarter of 2026.

According to Counterpoint’s latest report, memory prices rose by 80%-90% quarter-on-quarter in the first quarter of 2026, with prices for all categories of memory chips, including DRAM, NAND, and HBM, reaching record highs. The upstream cost pressures have been effectively transmitted to the end consumer electronics manufacturing sector.

The previous generation K90 series started at only 2,599 yuan, and its high cost-performance ratio earned it a large number of positive user reviews. With the overall price of memory chips rising, the final price range of this new flagship with its full set of features has become one of the most pressing questions for many digital enthusiasts and Xiaomi fans recently.
