Fast Technology reported that blogger “Bai Ze Guan Shan Hai” revealed the logo of Huawei’s new sub-brand Starlight. It is expected to only have English text and no graphic.

Multiple sources have revealed that the launch event for the “Starlight” phone is expected to be held separately between October and December, and three SPUs, or three versions of the phone, have already been prepared.

It is understood that the new Starlight brand will focus on online channels and is positioned as a relatively cost-effective product. The series has planned several new models, one of which will be equipped with an active cooling fan.

Currently, it is generally accepted from leaks that its first model will adopt a wide candybar design, model number O1 Pro, and will be available in three colors: Starry Black, Nebula White, and Starburst Purple.

In terms of storage configuration, the Starry O1 Pro will offer four versions: 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, 16GB+512GB, and 16GB+1TB.

It’s worth noting that the entire Huawei Pura X View series features 12GB of RAM, while the newly revealed Starlight O1 Pro offers a 16GB version.

The Starlight brand is seen by outsiders as a counterpart to Honor, which was spun off in its early years. It focuses on online sales and aims to capture the mass-market segment outside of Huawei’s main brand. Rumors suggest that its products will be equipped with Kirin 8 or 9 series self-developed chips.

Looking at Huawei’s current product portfolio, Mate and Pura maintain their position in the high-end market, nova focuses on offline aesthetics and imaging, Enjoy covers lower price points, and the online mid-range performance segment has long lacked an independent product line to compete with rivals such as Redmi, iQOO, and Realme.
