Huawei Pocket 3, Xiaomi MIX Flip 2, Honor Magic V Flip 2 will be released this year

The small foldable has become one of the important growth points in the folding screen field because of its portability and fashion attributes, and it can be said to be a battleground for strategists.

According to the latest news from blogger @数码闲聊站, the flagship folding phones that will be updated this year are Huawei Pocket 3, Xiaomi MIX Flip 2, and Honor Magic V Flip 2.

These three series are also leading products in the small folding field. 
However, the Pocket series is different from the latter two and adopts a small external screen strategy. It is currently uncertain which solution Pocket 3 will adopt.

MIX Flip is Xiaomi’s first small folding product. It has a maximum external screen of 4.01 inches and has created an exclusive UI interaction. Combined with Leica imaging, it became a hit as soon as it was released, especially among female users.

It is worth mentioning that the imaging set specially created by Xiaomi for it is also very popular and has been sold out for a long time. Its essence is a shoulder bag + photo printer, which is combined into a folding screen Polaroid camera.

According to reports, Xiaomi MIX Flip 2 will be equipped with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition chip and a large-capacity battery of 5600mAh to 5700mAh. Compared with the previous generation’s 4780mAh, the battery life has been significantly improved.

Honor Magic V Flip also features an ultra-large external screen, which is 4 inches. It is officially called the “dream small giant screen” with a screen-to-body ratio of up to 85%, meaning that the entire area except for the lens is a screen.

In terms of core configuration, Honor Magic V Flip uses a 6.8-inch internal screen, is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+, has a rear 50-megapixel SLR-level photo lens and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle/macro two-in-one lens, and a 4800mAh battery.

At present, according to the previous iteration ideas of Huawei Pocket 3, Xiaomi MIX Flip 2, and Honor Magic V Flip 2, only MIX Flip 2 has a true flagship configuration, while the other two are mainly practical and do not pursue the highest performance.
