The well-known digital blogger @数码闲聊站 revealed that
Apple’s upcoming iPhone 17 Air may be equipped with a battery with a capacity between 3000 and 4000mAh for the sake of its slim and light design .

Compared with the previous iPhone 16, its battery capacity may be reduced, which is closely related to its extremely light and thin design.

At present, Apple has not officially disclosed the specific battery capacity of the iPhone 16, but disassembly data shows that the battery capacity of the iPhone 16 is 3561mAh.

If the iPhone 17 Air can maintain this level, it may be able to solve the battery life problem.

However, leaked information shows that the thinnest part of the iPhone 17 Air is only 5.5mm, close to the 5.1mm thickness of the 13-inch iPad Pro, which will make the design of large-capacity batteries more challenging.

In addition to the concern about battery capacity, the iPhone 17 Air may also cancel the physical SIM card slot and only support e-SIM. It will be equipped with a 48-megapixel rear camera and Apple’s self-developed 5G modem.

The iPhone 17 Air is expected to be priced around US$900 and is positioned to replace the existing iPhone Plus series. It is expected to be released in September 2025 along with the iPhone 17 series.
