Samsung’s new product launch event is scheduled for October 29th: The flagship foldable phone, the W27, will debut.
Fast Technology reported that Samsung China’s official website released a teaser today, announcing that the Samsung New Product Launch Event, themed “Heart for the World,” will be officially held on October 29 at 16:00.
Based on the release schedule of previous years, the Samsung W27 foldable phone is expected to be unveiled at this event.
It is understood that Samsung’s W series has always targeted the high-end business market. In December 2008, Samsung and China Telecom launched their first “Heart for the World” mobile phone, the W699, which marked the beginning of their cooperation in the high-end business mobile phone field.
Starting with the Samsung W20, the W series, which focuses on the world, has been built on the foundation of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold series of foldable screen phones, while continuing the flagship hardware configuration and incorporating exclusive design elements.
The Samsung W27 is expected to be based on the Galaxy Z Fold8 series and will feature the W series’ signature black and gold color scheme.
This color scheme exudes a more composed and sophisticated feel, highlighting its high-end business positioning. The back of the device will also feature an exclusive “Caring for the World” logo to emphasize the product’s series identity.
In terms of price, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra starts at 14,999 yuan, making it Samsung’s first large folding flagship to be named Ultra.
The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra features a 6.5-inch external screen and an 8.0-inch internal screen, with a thickness of only 8.9 mm when folded.
It is equipped with Qualcomm’s fifth-generation Snapdragon 8 Ultra for Galaxy flagship chip, and features a rear camera setup consisting of a 200-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 10-megapixel telephoto lens, supporting 3x optical zoom, and has a built-in 5000mAh battery.
