After a short pause, Samsung has resumed the rollout of One UI 8 for the Galaxy S23 series. The firmware is back on the company’s servers and a minor security update is now being delivered alongside Android 16/One UI 8. The Galaxy S24 models experienced the same situation earlier in the day.

Currently, the update is available for the Galaxy S23, S23 plus and S23 Ultra, while the Galaxy S23 FE is expected to receive a similar update soon. The release mainly focuses on security enhancements and includes the October 2025 security patch which addresses around two dozen security concerns across Android and One UI.

Users can obtain the latest software update by opening the Settings application, selecting Software update and tapping Download and install. The update first launched in Korea and will reach other countries soon. If your phone already runs One UI 8, the update should be around 400MB, while those upgrading from One UI 7 will receive a full software refresh.

This update not only strengthens security but also ensures that the Galaxy S23 series remains smooth, reliable and ready for the latest Android features.
