Lenovo has officially announced the new generation of the Legion Y70 smartphone, which will be released on May 19. This is the first update to the series in nearly four years.

Today, the official appearance was revealed. It still adopts the rugged straight edge + straight screen design, but the overall shape has changed a lot from before, and it is more like the moto X70 series.

In addition, according to official promotional materials, the new phone should have a dedicated AI button on the upper left side, which can bring up Tianxi AI with one click.

It is reported that the previous generation Legion Y70 was released in August 2022. Compared with the Y90 series’ extreme gaming positioning, the Y70 is significantly thinner and lighter, making it more suitable for daily use.

At the time, the Y70 was equipped with a 6.67-inch screen with a resolution of 2400×1080, a 144Hz refresh rate, a 1500Hz peak sampling rate, and supported LTPS and DC dimming.

It is powered by the Snapdragon 8+ mobile platform, equipped with full-fledged LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 flash storage, and has a built-in 5100mAh battery.

It features a triple-camera setup, consisting of a 50-megapixel main camera, a 13-megapixel wide-angle macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
