The iPhone 20 Pro series features a major screen redesign!
Fast Technology reported that blogger “Digital Chat Station” revealed early screen specifications for the iPhone 20 Pro series.
According to the source, the iPhone 20 Pro will feature a 6.41-inch screen with a resolution of approximately 2686×1236; the iPhone 20 Pro Max will have a larger screen size of 6.96 inches with a resolution of approximately 2912×1340.
In terms of design, the iPhone 20 Pro series is currently testing a bezel-less quad-curved design, while still retaining the screen punch-hole design, which is a smaller version of the small, dynamic island.
Regarding the reason for naming it directly iPhone 20 instead of iPhone 19, the blogger stated that current supply chain information suggests Apple may skip the 19 generation naming convention, and the 2027 iPhone will directly enter the iPhone 20 series.
The blogger also claimed that the physical screen size of the iPhone 18 Pro Max is approximately 6.86 inches, while Apple advertises it as 6.9 inches; and the physical size of the iPhone 20 Pro Max will reach 6.96 inches, so it may ultimately be advertised as 7 inches.
It’s worth noting that the so-called borderless quad-curved screen doesn’t necessarily mean Apple will return to traditional curved screens.
Apple is more likely to adopt a combination of a 2D flat screen and a special glass cover, using the shape of the glass itself and the optical refraction effect to create a visual effect that is close to a borderless design.
Combined with Apple’s flagship Liquid Glass UI, future iPhones may further enhance the sense of a “whole piece of glass” in terms of front visual effect.
However, the iPhone 20 Pro series is still in the early testing phase, and the final screen size, resolution, and form factor may still be adjusted.
