The iQOO 16 is equipped with a self-developed e-sports chip.
Fast Technology reported that at the iQOO e-sports performance technology communication conference held today,
iQOO officially released the “3+2 game technology map”, claiming to have “truly mastered PC game technology”.

Among them, “3” represents the three major technology tracks that iQOO has been deeply involved in for a long time: graphics, control, and tuning, while “2” represents the two major game scenarios of cross-platform and live streaming that iQOO has further expanded into.

As a new generation of performance flagship, the iQOO 16 will be equipped with the self-developed e-sports chip Q4, with comprehensive upgrades to the rendering core, ray tracing core and AI core, resulting in a 15% performance improvement, a 19% improvement in cache speed and a 19% improvement in AI computing power.

In Monster+ mode,
the iQOO 16 will also be the first in the industry to support the simultaneous activation of three major visual effects: full-scene ray tracing, 2K resolution, and 165FPS super-resolution and super-frame (Note: This feature will be supported through OTA upgrades in the future).

To further enhance the lighting effects, the iQOO 16 also introduces VPL virtual point light source technology. Through four steps—brightness analysis, VPL generation, data optimization, and lighting calculation—and combined with the HDR technology framework, it improves picture performance while reducing power consumption by 30%.

To address common issues in super-resolution scenarios such as edge flickering and moiré patterns, iQOO has also optimized the training data, algorithms, and hardware.
By removing outlier data to build a high-definition dataset and incorporating an attention mechanism into the algorithm, along with a hardware 4-bit quantization scheme, screen flicker during camera movement is reduced, resulting in more stable image performance in different scenarios.
In addition, the iQOO 16 is the only one in the industry to support an 8K gaming camera, which can directly output game characters and scenes in 8K resolution. It also supports the overlay of ray tracing, filters and other effects, and allows manual adjustment of relevant parameters, making it convenient for players to generate high-resolution game images.
