vivo X300 FE Makes a Quiet Market Debut

A new device has officially joined vivo’s flagship X series lineup and it carries the FE badge this time around. The meaning behind FE isn’t entirely confirmed. It could stand for “Fan Edition” or perhaps even “Fashion Edition”. Regardless of the exact interpretation, the handset features a set of specs that won’t come as a surprise. The model is currently showcased on vivo’s official Russian site marking its formal presence there.

For the most part, the X300 FE is essentially a rebranded variant of the China exclusive vivo S50 Pro mini. The only notable distinction between the two lies in connectivity, as the X300 FE comes equipped with Bluetooth 6.0 instead of the Pro mini’s Bluetooth 5.4. Apart from this connectivity enhancement, everything else from internal components to the overall hardware configuration remains the same across both devices.

The device features a fairly compact 6.31 inch LTPO AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a dynamic refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz. Powering the phone is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset in its non Elite configuration paired with 12GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM. It is available with either 256GB or 512GB of high speed UFS 4.1 storage. The rear panel features a sleek camera visor module that includes a 50MP main camera using the IMX921 sensor a 50MP IMX882 telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and an 8MP ultrawide camera.

With IP68 and IP69 ratings the phone offers solid protection against dust ingress and high pressure water. It launches with OriginOS 6 layered over Android 16 and comes with a long term commitment of five major OS upgrades and seven years of security updates. Powering the device is a large 6,500 mAh silicon carbon battery that supports 90W wired charging as well as 40W wireless charging.

The vivo X300 FE is available in three attractive color options: Moonlight White, Cool Purple and Graphite Black. At present, the phone is not being sold through vivo’s official online store in Russia. The starting price for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant is RUB 60,124 which is around $770. In the coming weeks the smartphone is expected to reach additional markets beyond Russia.
